OCMS Bio, LLC provides innovative solutions to a long-vexing problem in biopharmaceutical discovery and manufacturing: how to rapidly discover and isolate mammalian cells secreting a desired protein. Our methods, termed On-Cell mAb Screening, allow for the selection of cells that are truly clonal, stable, and optimized for protein expression level by attaching secreted proteins to the cells that produce them. Therefore, cells making the desired proteins can be identified using immunofluorescence labeling and analyzed by high-throughput methods, such as high content imaging and flow cytometry. The OCMS method has been optimized for cloning and recombinant expression of human antibodies, but the primary activity of the OCMS Bio company will be out-license and support a suite of technologies tailored to the needs of those working with murine hybridomas, including mice transgenic for expression of human antibodys genes.
